Thank You Jenny, from Born To Blend for tagging me to do 'My Make-Up Story', you guys can also check out her post by clicking here. I've always been obsessed with make-up and have been absolutely crying laughing at some of my first attempts at applying it. Practice most definitely makes perfect. How old were you when you started wearing makeup? I picked up my first eyeliner when I was about 9/10 but as I got older I started experimenting with the various other products my Mum had in her make-up bag but soon got bored with the limited selection. So I'd save my money and would start hauling every beauty product I could find by age 14. ![]() How did you get into makeup? Make-up really gave me a lot of confidence which is what led it to becoming part of my daily routine, but after discovering amazingly talented Make-up artists such as Kandee Johnson, Lauren Luke & various others on YouTube, learning their techniques then putting them into practice, became such a fun, creative outlet. What are some of your favourite brands? I will use anything that works, but my top 6 would be MAC, Revlon, Dior, Rimmell, Urban Decay and not forgetting BarryM (we do love our Lip Paints). ![]() What does makeup mean to you? Makeup is my passion! You can create anything, you're face is a blank canvas that you can create anything with! From jaw defining contouring to an extreme prosthetic make-over, the possibilities are literally becoming endless. (For incredible prosthetic tutorials, click HERE!) If you could only wear 4 products on your face, what would they be? Brows are a must! Foundation, Lipstick and of course, Highlighter. ![]() What's your favourite thing about makeup? The way it can lift your mood. If you feel a bit poop and don't really feel like going out, it's amazing the amount of confidence a bit of Lipstick & Mascara will give you. Say what you will, it works. (Photo Credit: TMD Design Shop) What do you think about drugstore makeup VS. high end makeup? I love both, if a product does what I need it to do, then I'll use it, regardless of the brand's popularity. I still keep a lot of favourites from my 'teen years' in my collection, mainly the Rimmell Lipsticks (don't worry, the dream matte mousse is gone!). What is one tip of advice you would give to a beginner? Be Bold & you can never blend too much! ![]() What is one makeup trend that you've never understood? When people use table spoons as eyebrow stencils. How does that even work? I've not tried it myself as I actually use my cutlery to eat with, but let me know in the comments if you've tried this :-) What do you think about the beauty community on YouTube? I think it's essential! It's an incredible platform to learn from, chat to others who are in the same boat as you and reach out to more advanced artists for some of their top tips. Thanks again for the tag, this was such a fun post to do! I tag ALL of you to do this as well.
