Blonde Hair-Care

This week I wanted to tell you all about my 'Blonde Haircare Routine', if you never seen my last blog you probably don't know that I took the plunge to the light side and am now a blondie. Every time this happens I forgot how much more care I need to take of my hair as it often ends up fragile, frazzled or going extremely yellow (although this time, so far so good!). So here are some great products and tips you can try if you're new to being blonde or just need to give your hair a little more TLC.

RESTORING THE COLOUR
Blonde hair tends to go dull and can gain a yellow tinge, which I have experienced OH SO many times, but this can be prevented easily by using a Purple coloured shampoo. There are many great High End and Drug Store brands, though the one I tend to opt for is the Matrix So Silver Shampoo, as a Hair Stylist I am a huge lover of Matrix products as they are Salon quality though very affordable, this Shampoo is so pigmented it's literally like a Toner for your hair, though I would not advise using this more than once or twice a week, depending on how brassy your hair is, this product costs around £8.95, however it lasts me about 3 months. My second favourite would be Touch Of Silver Shampoo which can be picked up in any Supermarket for around £2.50, this one is great though I use it a lot more often than the Matrix shampoo and find myself buying a new bottle every 3-4 weeks.

RESSURECTING DAMAGED HAIR
There are some AMAZING products available for damaged hair, though no matter what a company may tell you, if your hair is literally frazzled and/or snapped, it ain't coming back from that, regular hair appointments are vital to keep the damage at bay and to stop those split ends from getting worse. If your hair is feeling extremely dry, or 'spongy + stretchy' when wet, that is when these 'Miracle' Products come in handy. My all time favourite hair mask, which I recommend to all my clients is, once again, Matrix Total Repair Hair Mask, this is a deep conditioning treatment which i find works best if you heat it for a few seconds, apply to your hair, and allow to absorb for 10-15 minutes. A small tub of this costs around £9.30 and a little does go along way. A new favourite of mine is one I've been using a lot recently and mentioned a few weeks ago in an earlier blog, Bed Head Antidotes Resurrection Mask. Though I don't remember the exact price, it was fairly inexpensive and you get A LOT of product, using this twice a week leaves your hair feeling silky smooth with a healthy shine (not forgetting to mention the amazing smell)!

*QUICK TIP* Apply KMS California Silk Sheen Conditioner or Matrix Sleek Wonder Oil to towel dried hair, then dry & style *QUICK TIP*
Thank you for reading again, hope you all have a Fantastic Christmas & New Year
 I'll see you in 2016,
 Jordan x
