FEBRUARY FAVOURITES

29/2/2016

It's that time again, this month seems to have flown by and has definitely brought a lot of new things my way, some of  which I am dying to show you in todays, February Favourites!
Picture
EASY ON THE EYE PALETTE
This is a hidden gem, I found it whilst hunting for a nude lipstick in Boots. To be honest, it was the packaging that spoke to me initially but the colours in this palette are to die for! There are 11 different shades with various finishes ranging from Mattes, Shimmers, Pearl powders to Metallic creams and there's even an eye primer to help get that perfect base. Seventeen have finally created something I can obsess over!

Picture
MIRACLE MATTE CONCEALER STICK
Another little drug store favourite from Seventeen is this concealer stick. My all time favourite concealer is by Mii Cosmetics however the Salon was closed the day I need to get some more and ended up grabbing this as it was the lightest concealer I could find. This covers so brilliantly and even with one layer and loose powder it can give great coverage for small tattoos. The variety of shades offers great creative advantages for Highlighting and Contouring the face and I'm definitely going to be picking the other shades up as well!

Picture
L'OREAL INFALLIBLE FIXING MIST
Don't judge me, I have never strayed from Urban Decay's 'All Nighter' setting spray, but the nearest store is an hour away & I didn't have the time to go or patience to wait on a delivery. So I picked up this L'Oréal setting spray for roughly £7.99 from Boots and I on my second bottle already! Unlike other drug store products this settles into your skin almost immediately and keep your makeup looking shine free and flawless all day long! I'm not sure that it will replace my 'All Nighter' spray, but it's a brilliant dupe!

Picture
MAC PRO PALETTE
I already done a full review on this palette but I am in love with it! I debated for a while whether or not to get this but I'm so glad I did. At the moment I'm storing all my de-potted eyeshadows in this palette until I fill up with more MAC eyeshadows in the next couple of months, but already my Makeup area is clutter & stain free! This is also a brilliant investment for people wanting those high-end eyeshadows but for a little less money.

Picture
RIMMEL LONDON KATE LIPSTICK & LINER
You can forget everything I have just told you about because this Lipstick is about to steal the show. I've been needing a new everyday Lipstick sine I outgrew 'Please Me' from MAC, low and behold Rimmel London called out to me (it was like I was a teenager again). This is part of the Kate 'Nude' collection & is a gorgeous warm, peach toned lipstick, super hydrating and looks brilliant with just about any makeup look! I have been pairing this with the Rimmel Lip Pencil in shade 'Tiramisu' although it's a lot darker, I blend it into the centre to create a more defined, plumper lip shape.

That is it for this months favourites! What have you been loving this month? Let me know in the comments, also if you haven't already click here to check out my Video's!
Thanks for reading.
See you next Sunday,

The Latest Trend - OIL PULLING

21/2/2016

Hey everyone, I've been seeing people on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook & Instagram referring to 'Oil Pulling' a lot in the last couple of months, and really had no idea what was going on. After putting my glasses on and doing some research I thought I'd share with you some of the amazing benefits of this, odd and albeit, unpleasant beauty trick.
Picture
WHAT IS 'OIL PULLING'?
Despite many rumours, this common 'life hack' is actually an ancient Ayurvedic dental technique, which involves swishing a tablespoon of oil around your mouth (Coconut Oil being the most commonly used) before meals for 10 to 20 minutes twice a day. This supposedly has many additional health benefits though is originally intended for Oral health.

Picture
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS
Some of the benefits that I found were most commonly reported by various people & fellow bloggers, some who have tried this technique and others who haven't, are as listed below:

-Strengthens Teeth & Gums
-Whiter Teeth
-Prevents Bad Breath
-Cures Hangovers
-Helps alleviate skin conditions such as acne, eczema & psoriasis
-Helps with disturbed sleep patterns

I am definitely keen to try this out, though the mere thought of putting a tablespoon of pure Coconut Oil in my mouth sickens me.

Let me know if you have or would try this out?
Thanks for Reading.
See you next Sunday,

Ombré Lips

15/2/2016

Hey everyone, I got quite a few comments about the Ombré Lipstick look I done in last weeks video so decided I would share with you all my favourite products to use when trying out these Ombré looks, you can also see my new Video Tutorial on how to re-create last weeks look.
Picture
BARRYM
BarryM is my go to when I want to create a vibrant, Ombré Lip look, their Lip Paints are phenomenal & the Shade 'Marshmallow'  will never fail you, trust me. Either using a Lip brush (or applying directly if you don't care about ruining your lipstick) I dab this colour into the centre of either a warm or neutral colour and slightly blend outwards.

MAC
It's a rare occasion I go to MAC to create an Ombré lip look, as I haven't found the perfect Lipstick shade I tend to use the 'Nothing Sexier' Lip Pencil. Almost every time I use this, I pair it with the 'He Said, She Said' Lip Liner, it is a beautiful combo, perfect for the Summer!
Picture
JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS
Last year Jeffree Star announced the release of a new Liquid Lipstick, shade 'Drug Lord' which is the whitest of white, and covers your lips in one swipe! This Liquid Lippy has came in handy so many times, whether it's to 'pastelise' a darker lip colour, or to blend into an insane Ombré lip. This product is not for you faint hearted make-up lovers, this is pure pigment & will NOT come off.

Do you Love or Hate Ombré Lips? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
Thanks for reading &
I'll See you next Sunday,

MAC Pro DUO Palette (Review)

7/2/2016

This weeks blog is again, going to coincide with this weeks video, which is a 'Purple Cut-Crease Eyeshadow Tutorial', in which I used 2 of my new MAC eyeshadows that I bought along with the MAC Pro Duo Palette. So if you're wondering how to get these fabulous eyeshadows but save a bit of money at the same time, keep on reading.
Picture
THE PALETTE
The Pro Palette is a very simple, smart handy tool to have, the main reason I chose this was to keep my make-up desk completely clutter free! The palette cost £10 & various inserts can also be bought to hold different amounts of eyeshadows & blushes but I decided to keep it as is, as I'll most likely be stocking up on these eyeshadows soon and can fit a lot more in using the magnetised bottoms. As you can probably tell by the name, the Palette is double sided, giving much more selection of colours for Photoshoots, Nights Away etc. There is also a protective acrylic lid in-between each side to minimize the risk of an eyeshadow disaster!

THE EYESHADOWS
An eyeshadow pan for this palette cost £10, it can either be popped into an insert or simply into the palette as the pans are magnetic. The colours I went for to start off with were
-
Gesso, a beautiful White that I've found perfect for highlighting around the brows.
-
Plum Dressing, a STUNNING Shimmery Purple that blends brilliantly into Smokey, seductive looks
-
Electric Eel (very daring but I am SO tired of neutrals), an extremely neon Blue, which I use frequently for Photoshoots.
I've also noticed, by having the Pro Palette you're saving £5 on each MAC eyeshadow you purchase, which has helped me justify ANOTHER huge shopping spree for upcoming videos.
