Hey everyone, we've finally made it through January & I'm excited to share some of my favourite products I've completely obsessed over this month, Makeup, Skincare, Hair Products, there are too many to even list so here are the ones I've over stocked up on.
COCA COLA LIP BALM
This is my everything, from waking up to going to bed (sometimes even through the night). I've mentioned in previous blog posts and videos that I have struggled with dry, cracked lips recently and adopted a new daily routine of using my Butterscotch Lip Scrub in the morning then using my Cola Balm throughout the day (which works WONDERS). I have about 10 of these lying around in different bags, in the car & in my work coat pockets, they're too handy and way too delicious!
MAC LIGHTSCAPADE HIGHLIGHTER
I know I recently told you about this but...My world. My light. This is my HOLY-GRAIL of highlighters. When I'm highlighting my face I like to pick the lightest, most shimmery shade possible, so far nothing has came close to Lightscapade by MAC. People are always throwing me recommendations for lighter, more glittery, shocking metallic highlighters but I can't tear myself away from this product. Super pigmented and lasts me months & months at a time! Definitely go and pick it up if you haven't tried it!
I always hated the thought of using a sponge to apply makeup, but the Beauty Blender, is so much more than just a sponge. Every single morning I use this to lather my primer or moisturiser all over my face, then use the reverse side to conceal & highlight. This has helped me achieve that full coverage, everyday look paired with a blinding highlight. I'll leave a link for the Beauty Blender, because if you're not in on this, you should be - http://www.beautyblender.co.uk/
DERMA-V ANTI WRINKLE CREAM
The weather hasn't only been cruel to my lips but to the rest of my skin as well, so I decided to swap my regular Primer for an extremely affordable, excellent Anti Wrinkle Cream. I apply this EVERY SINGLE morning using my beauty blender before applying makeup, it's amazingly refreshing, keeps your makeup looking radiant and brings all the moisture back into your skin (which I have really needed).
MATRIX MEGA DUST
Due to laziness (& a very busy calendar) I've been throwing my hair into a quiff everyday, it takes two seconds simply because I use Mega Dust. At the roots of my hair I sprinkle a small amount on, this helps you get SO MUCH height in your hair without the use of backcombing, or with shorter styles ever hairspray or wax. I'm sure this is also the only 'Mega Dust' on the market with a Squeezy Bottle, for Ultimate Hair Up do's! Extremely affordable and lasts a lifetime!
Thank you guys for reading, let me know what products you are loving this month in the comments below.
See you next Sunday,
Hey Guys, today I wanted to share with you my current Highlighters! I haven't done a lot of makeup shopping this month (it is January after all). But when I have been out I've been picking up every highlighter I see, most of which haven't been up to much, but below are my 3 current favourites!
I mentioned this product in my 'Contour & Highlight' video and can't even stress how much I adore this product. From the packaging to the pigment, this ensures 100% customer satisfaction. This glides onto your cheeks so smoothly and blends into your contour like a wedding ceremony. It also comes in various shades for tan to darker skin colours, it's an amazing collection! If you need shimmer & glow in your life, go and buy this product.
BLUSH & GO PALETTE
This Blush & Go palette was an excellent find that I got in my '£20 Makeup Challenge' and I have never stopped using it! The bronzer started as my most used colour, then I moved onto the highlighter. This colour gives a beautiful, natural highlight to the cheekbones, perfect for those 'barely there' beauty looks. The only thing I would recommend with this product is using a good primer as it does 'open up' the pores.
NEW LOOK HIGHLIGHTER
I recently went into New Look with a friend, I've never been in for a long time and noticed they had a new makeup section. In the reduced pile there was a huge pile of these gorgeous, gold highlighters, which look perfect for when summer comes back around. At £3 I couldn't exactly say no. This product gives a very sheer, though subtle tanned glow, combines perfectly with a nude lip and a warm Smokey eye. So glad I grabbed this product and I'm definitely looking forward to a 'New Look Cosmetics Haul'.
Please give me some suggestions on more Illuminators, I just can't get enough!
Thank you all for reading,
See you Sunday.
Hey everyone, a lot of people want to know the secret to a flawless face, whether it be perfect makeup, perfect skin or even your general complexion. The answer to all of these lies in your Skin care routine, we make a lot of effort in personal hygiene but often forget to take good care of our skin. So I'm going to share my current Skin care routine, though this changes on a monthly basis.
T-ZONE CLEANSING WIPES
These are super cheap and super handy for keeping breakouts at a minimum! My primary rule in life is to always remove my makeup before bed, by using these 'Shine Control' cleansing wipes, it's extremely quick & easy to remove ALL your makeup whilst TONING your skin at the same time. For those slightly oiler skin types, this is definitely the product for you.
My most purchased product in the history of my bank account. Witch Hazel is a really natural, healthy product that I use every single morning before applying makeup or just to freshen up my face. Witch Hazel is primarily used as a 'Skin Cleanser' though it also refreshes, tones, removes excess oils and removes dirt from all the hidden areas on your face. At an extremely low price of £1.50 I stock up on about 6 bottles every time I run out. Can't recommend enough.
DERMAV10 ANTI WRINKLE CREAM
This hidden gem has been acting as the 'primer' underneath my daily makeup routine these last 2 months. After cleansing my face I lather this cream all over my face (focusing a little more around the eye area) it leaves me feeling so awake, refreshed and gives that extra boost in the morning, which I really need. I've definitely noticed my makeup lasting hours longer and looking so much more radiant when wearing highlighters. Would love to know if anyone has tried this or a similar product? Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
Sorry this was so late things have been a bit hectic lately.
Thanks for reading, I will see you Tuesday & Sunday next week,
Hey everyone, this weeks blog coincides with this weeks Video which is a Shimmery/Smokey Eyeshadow Tutorial. To get this look I used mainly all Makeup Revolution products, which is something I've never used before so thought I'd share my first impressions and do some Palette swatches for you.
MAKE BELIEVE PALETTE
The 'Make Believe' Eyeshadow & Brow palette by Makeup Revolution is full of Neon & more Natural colours. I think this palette is great in comparison to various other Drug Store eyeshadows, though their products are not 'jammed packed' with pigment, there is definitely a good amount in there and is easy to build up the colour coverage. For this tutorial we steered away from the NEONS and focused on Shimmery/Autumn colours, but will definitely be playing around with the Pinks & Blues sometime soon!
This small little eyeshadow pot is so affordable and one of my favourites. Though it is not full of 'White Pigment' as you would hope, it is definitely packed full of Glittery, Shimmery goodness and I'm constantly using this to highlight the inner corners of my eyes over the top of a white eyeshadow to give that Glamorous, Glowing finish.
If you haven't realised by now, I'm a huge fan of Glitter & Shimmer, so what better product to add to a Smokey eye than Pure Glitter. For the 'Smokey Eye Tutorial' I went in with the shade 'Grandeur' in Makeup Revolution's Pure Pigments, this is an extremely Glowy Deep brown with specs of silver & gold pigments, giving you that beautiful pearl finish. I simply applied this using a damp lip brush to the outer corner of my eyes then blended into the dark eyeshadow using a fluffy eyeshadow brush. Pure Pigments are brilliant & extremely affordable, definitely recommend.
I'm so sorry again for being late this week, still figuring out the new editing software,
Thank you all for reading, if you haven't already check out this weeks Video!
See you next Sunday,
Happy New Year & Welcome to 2016, first of all I'd like to apologise as this post is a day late and we have barely started the year (though I have been suffering from Man-Flu for 3 days so please, pity me). Today's post is not our average weekly post but more of a 're-introduction' as a few changes have been made to the Website and even MORE changes are coming in the next 3 months, so without further ado...
THE VIDEO SECTION
On New Years Eve I uploaded my first ever YouTube video, a quick inside look at My Butterscotch Lip Scrubs and how they work. YouTube is something I have followed for years so I'm very excited to be uploading weekly videos to their website & to this one too, so if some weeks you're feeling a little lazy and just want to flake out watching TV, you can now visit my YouTube channel!
Makeup Tutorials are HEAVILY requested on a weekly basis, I have been trying to figure out the best way to create them to get the best result, however, new equipment is on the way and once it has arrived Makeup Tutorials will be arriving on my Video page constantly, so please look out for that as there will be everything from Concealers to Eyeshadows, along with a few monthly recommendation videos in-between.
BRAND NEW COSMETICS
As you have all probably heard throughout December, I launched my very first batch of JCC Butterscotch Lip Scrubs, the response has been amazing and I'm very excited to tell you all that 2 new flavours are being added to the Online Store in February (one of which being Strawberry). On top of all this excitement I am currently developing a BRAND NEW product which will hopefully be launched before the Summer, so definitely keep yourselves updated!
